Clubs and Activities

MacArthur offers a variety of opportunities outside the classroom experience.  We believe these opportunities assist the students in experiencing life long interests, help build character and allow students to develop discipline, time management skills and friendships that they may otherwise not develop solely in the academic classroom.  There are three levels of involvement for students:

1) Interscholastic Sports - Competition in a variety of athletic ventures versus local middle schools as well as across the state through our athletic conference and our state athletic affiliations.

2) Intramural Activities -  Competition in a variety of sports within our school itself.  Students compete versus other MacArthur students. These activities are geared for more of recreational competition.

3) Clubs and Other Activities - These special interest organizations are geared toward other interests beside athletics and allow students and staff to extend these interests beyond the classroom.

Youth Sports Concussion Safety Act - The following documents will provide information regarding the nature and risks of concussions and head injuries as well as steps District 23 will be taking to ensure the safety of all staff members, student athletes and parents.
